Kent Companies Kicks Off 60th Anniversary Year with the Promotion of Key Personnel & a New Website Launch
[GRAND RAPIDS, MI] – Kent Companies CEO Jeff VanderLaan kicked off the organization’s 60th anniversary by announcing the promotion of key personnel and unveiling a new corporate website. “Kent Companies, at its core, is focused on our people,” said VanderLaan. “Our 60th anniversary is a celebration of the talented people who have written our story up to this point; and of those who are working to write the next chapter of our success.”
VanderLaan continued, “We continue to experience tremendous growth in the Midwest as well as in Texas and the Carolinas. We’ve strategically aligned the leaders on our team to best serve our customers in each market and to create opportunities for our people to develop on their chosen career paths.”
Kent Companies also launched a new corporate website. The new mobile-responsive design details the organization’s services by industry sector and region. The site details the organization’s history as well as its commitment to its people, its customers and the community.
VanderLaan concluded, “You’ll continue to see an intense focus on our people as we move throughout our 60th anniversary year. We know our people drive our success every day. That’s why we’re focusing on the human side of concrete as we celebrate this important milestone.”
Kent Companies announced the following promotions across the country:
Dave Schoonbeck, Chief Operating Officer – As Chief Operating Officer, Dave Schoonbeck is responsible for the daily operation of Kent Companies across the country. He leads key initiatives in new technology implementation, facilities expansions and business process improvement.
Matt Fennema, Executive Vice President – Matt Fennema is the Executive Vice President of the Michigan Concrete group. He assumes responsibility for the Concrete Construction, Site Concrete and Concrete Pumping divisions.
Dave Fordon, Executive Vice President – Dave Fordon is the Executive Vice President of Facilities group which includes the Facilities Services, Floor Specialties and Building Restoration divisions. Fordon celebrates 20 years as a member of the Kent Companies team in 2017.
Lance Ross, Executive Vice President – Lance Ross is the Executive Vice President of the Commercial Concrete Division of Kent Companies Texas. Ross is responsible for all business development, operations and project delivery activities for the commercial industry sector.
Mike Wegman, Executive Vice President – Mike Wegman is the Executive Vice President of the Piering group. He assumes responsibility for helical distribution, engineering and installation activities for the commercial and residential markets.
Jeff French, Vice President – Jeff French is the Vice President of Kent Home Services, which encompasses the Concrete Raising and New Residential Concrete divisions.
Josh McKenzie, Vice President – Josh McKenzie is the Vice President of the Ohio Underlayments division. McKenzie assumes all responsibility for business development, operations and project delivery for underlayment products throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and northern Kentucky.
