West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia designed University Place as a $70 million mixed use residential and retail complex offering its students modern apartment living with top- notch academic, social and fitness amenities.
Turner Construction turned to Kent Companies to install sound control underlayments throughout the 206,000 square foot complex. The project required specialized primers and precise pouring of Maxxon Dek C-Ment® over the 9/16″ metal decking structure, installation of Maxxon Acousti-Mat® and a final 1″ layer of Dek C-Ment® to complete the flooring system.
We completed two eight-story buildings on schedule and on budget despite harsh winter conditions. We accelerated Turner’s project schedule by installing an acrylic sealer to form a temporary roof that allowed mechanical, electrical, plumbing and drywall subcontractors to begin their work sooner. Give us your toughest assignment. We’ll make the grade.
