Kent Companies Promotes Five to Division Manager Positions, Welcomes New Leadership

Kent Companies, Inc., the 9th largest concrete contractor nationwide, today announced leadership transitions to kick off the new year.

The company has promoted five teammates to serve in Division Manager roles, including:

Jordan Berens, Division Manager – In his role, Berens oversees development and profitability of Site Concrete operations across Michigan and other Midwest locations. Berens has been with Kent Companies for nearly eight years. He initially joined Kent Companies as an intern, and he quickly advanced through roles including Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Director of Project Management.

Steve McCoy, Division Manager – McCoy leads the Commercial Concrete group out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He previously served as Director of Field Operations and Senior Project Manager. He has worked for Kent Companies for four years.

Zach VanBemden, Division Manager – VanBemden assumes responsibility for the Western Michigan Underlayments group. Starting his career at Kent Companies in 2011, he is the recipient of the ASCC’s 2021 Gaining Strength Award.

Ed Hardesty, Division Manager – With more than 20 years at Kent Companies under his belt, Hardesty is the Division Manager of the Underlayments group in Eastern Michigan. He assumes responsibility of operations, business development and product delivery.

Jeff Moomey, Division Manager – Moomey is the Division Manager of Facilities Services. He has been a Project Manager at Kent Companies for five years and has 33 years of commercial construction experience in West Michigan.

  • John Walker, Business Development Manager – Columbus, Ohio
