Kent Companies Receives the Award of Excellence from the Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan
[TRAVERSE CITY, Michigan – January 27, 2023] – The Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan recognized Kent Companies with the Award of Excellence for our concrete work on the Caberfae Peaks and 309 Front Street projects. This award recognizes Northern Michigan commercial projects and promotes the quality workmanship performed by contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and their employees.
Kent Companies completed work for two very different project scopes located in downtown Traverse City and Cadillac, MI.
Our team poured six foundations for the brand-new Caberfae ski lift with the unique challenge to ensure anchor bolts were installed with precision to avoid deterioration and wear to the lift.
The 309 Front Street new construction, mixed-use development included the first post tension deck in northern Michigan with 170 tons of reinforcement and 33,700 SF of post tension. In total, our team poured 14-foot foundation walls, 31,000 SF of slab on grade, and the one-story underground parking structure.
