Thanks to the Grand Rapids Team for a Great Week!

Submitted by Dave Schoonbeck, Chief Operating Officer

I extend my thanks to the Grand Rapids team for your support and engagement throughout last week. Our safety stand-down was time very well-spent. I appreciate the the Safety team’s preparation for the event, and I appreciate the investment of your time and attention.

Safety is our first priority, and this event spurred great discussions. As spring arrives, every job site demands a fresh eye for job hazards and an action plan to meet them head on.

The second major event for the week was the One-Day Hiring event on Saturday, April 21. Thanks to your support, our event drew dozens of candidates – far exceeding our previous events. Our HR team went over and above the call of duty to meet and interview every candidate on Saturday. Your participation on social media resulted in exposure to thousands of people.

Our work doesn’t stop here. You have two more important challenges:

  1. When you see new faces on our job sites, welcome them. Be a resource for questions and safe operations.
  2. Continue to support our on-going team recruitment. Chances are you know someone who should be a part of our team. Remember, when you refer them to apply at Kent Companies, you can earn up to $350 cash. Make sure they put your name on their application. See the Human Resources team for additional questions.
