Caberfae East Peak Chairlift Foundations

Project Overview

Caberfae Peaks is a ski and golf resort located in Cadillac, Michigan. The resort opened its doors in 1938, making it one of the oldest ski resorts in the United States.

Caberfae sought out Kent Companies to fix and pour new foundations for a new ski lift. In total, our team poured six new foundations with the unique challenge of ensuring the anchor bolts were extremely accurate. This type of precision was required to avoid unusual wear to the lift, which could result in premature replacement. Due to the location of this lift, our crew was faced with challenges including, bringing the materials uphill, high winds, and the process of pulling the concrete truck uphill to pour. Thanks to an amazing crew, our team was able to complete the project on time, resulting in a strong relationship with the owner.
