Project Overview

A national general contractor tapped Kent Companies to manage a full renovation.

The Texas-based ARCO/Murray team turned to Kent Companies to lead a significant processing facility renovation in Michigan. Over the course of the project, the team was agile and proactive, compiling 64 change order items to address additional scope. This renovation included all demolition, excavation, subbase, concrete, sitework and restoration services. Kent Companies removed and replaced approximately 90,000 SF of interior slab-on-grade, installed more than 1,000 CYDs of sand subbase and fill and more than 500 CYDs of crushed aggregate base for concrete pads and landscape stone. The team poured approximately 16,000 SF of concrete mechanical pads, with bollards and jersey barricades and approximately 5,000 SF of concrete paving and sidewalks.

The project team also:

  • Installed new concrete retaining wall for a ramp at the existing dock
  • Poured new foundations for infill of old truck dock well and parking lot entrances
  • Removed and replaced approximately 76,000 SF of asphalt parking lot
  • Restored approximately 45,000 SF of topsoil and seeding

Kent Companies also performed masonry modifications including wall infills, new openings, revised wall layouts and repairs.
