Our innovative approach locked in a superior quality slab for our customer.

THE CHALLENGE:

The slab design required a 9 ¼” wide ledge recessed 1 ½” around the entire perimeter.

THE SOLUTION:

The Kent Companies team met the design requirements by using wall panels to form and pour a monolithic 185 cubic yard slab with ledges measuring 9 ¼” wide and an 18″ thickened edge. The project was the general contractor’s twentieth self-storage building, and their field leadership noted that Kent Companies’ quality far exceeded previous subcontractors. Kent Companies completed the project with one pour, which achieved all required specs and saved time on the overall project schedule.
