Project Overview

Walmart Neighborhood Markets are the retailer’s answer for shoppers seeking convenience and speed. At one-fourth the size of a traditional superstore, they retail over 28,000 items. However, the retailer’s real selling points are organized aisles and faster checkout. The construction schedule for each store demanded the very same.

Kent Companies partnered with EMJ Construction and MYCON General Contractors to build stores in Wylie and Sachse, Texas. The average project size was 45,000 square feet of retail space, 116,000+ square feet of on-site paving and additional off-site paving surrounding Walmart fuel stations as well.

We tailgated the slab on grade after the roof was installed in order to protect the concrete from the sun. Our ACI finishers met the high standards required by the engineer for the slab on grade. We met a demanding schedule that allowed mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades to move in on time. No rain checks here. We deliver productivity and quality every time.
