Built to Blend In: Masonry Restoration Done Right

Across West Michigan, many buildings people know and love have quietly been restored by Kent Facilities. Since 2011, our team has handled masonry modifications and restorations that keep structures looking the way they were meant to.

When Buildings Change, Masonry Has to Follow

When buildings change use, new doors, windows, or walls are often added. Our crews cut openings and rebuild the surrounding masonry so the new work blends seamlessly with the original brick. Because the work remains visible, every block, color, or mortar joint needs to match what was already there. This attention to detail has helped our team build lasting trust with customers across the region.

Division Manager Dustin Nagelkirk explains, “We’ve been doing this work in West Michigan for 15 years. When customers need masonry modifications done right, they know who to call.”

Restoring What Time and Weather Wear Down

Our work goes beyond modifications. When time and weather take their toll on brick and mortar, our crews restore walls so they look the way they were originally built. “We expect a certain level of craftmanship from ourselves, and that’s why we’re the first call.” adds Dustin.

Past Performance

Kent Facilities has completed masonry restoration and modification work across West Michigan for more than a decade. Our team has supported projects involving masonry restoration with services like tuckpointing, block replacement, and cleaning; new masonry; concrete restoration involving patching, sealing, and joint repairs; traffic coating; waterproofing; caulking; and expansion control such as joint sealants, exterior and interior expansion systems, and expansion cover plates. Some of our favorite projects include:

  • Special Olympics Michigan Unified Sports & Inclusion Center Renovation
  • Eastpointe Commons I & II Renovation
  • Academy Manor Senior Residences Renovation
  • Lake Michigan Filtration Plant Renovation

Craftsmanship That Speaks for Itself

Many of the buildings we restore are part of the community’s history. The goal isn’t to make our work stand out. It’s to make it look like nothing ever changed.

When buildings need to evolve without losing their character, Kent Facilities delivers.
