Kent's Safety System
A culture of accountability
Safety performance is reviewed from the field to the executive level through scorecards, KPIs, and a direct line of accountability to the CEO. Every employee has both the authority and responsibility to stop work, identify hazards, and contribute to a culture where everyone returns home safely.
Planning before production
Every shift begins with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, stretch & flex, and toolbox talks to identify hazards before work begins.
Dedicated Field Support
Regional safety managers and coordinators provide coaching, observations, site audits, and project-specific safety planning.
Technology & Real-time Reporting
Digital inspections, JHAs, corrective actions, and incident reporting provide immediate visibility into project performance and emerging risks.
Safety Development & Training
OSHA education, craft-specific instruction, leadership development, and recurring safety meetings reinforce expectations throughout every employee's career.
Continuous Improvement
Every observation and near miss is documented, investigated, and reviewed through root cause analysis to strengthen future performance. Leading indicators, trend analysis, executive scorecards, and field feedback drive continuous refinement of our safety program.
Shared Safety Accountability
Kent's national safety leadership brings more than 25 years of concrete construction safety experience to every project. Together with our safety professionals and field teams, we've built a culture where accountability flows in every direction—from executive leadership to the jobsite and from the jobsite back through real-time reporting and continuous improvement.
