Kent Concrete’s Southeast Commercial Division has been recognized with a Tilt-Up Achievement Award from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) for its work on the Galen College of Nursing campus in Pooler, Georgia. The award honors excellence in tilt-up concrete construction and recognizes Kent Concrete as a leading concrete contractor in the Southeast.
The project featured 64,144 SF of slab on grade, 36 tilt-wall panels, and 43,167 SF of tilt-wall panels, demonstrating safety and craftsmanship on a large-scale institutional build.
“This recognition underscores exactly what we strive for in the Southeast, combining technical expertise with quality craftsmanship,” shares Division Manager Taylor Sittig. “Every slab, every panel, every joint had to come together flawlessly. To have our team’s execution validated by the Tilt-Up Association is a tremendous honor.”
Kent partnered with Choate Construction and BHDP Architecture to deliver a structure that blends speed, efficiency, and long-term strength. “In our view, tilt-up is a strategic choice when a project demands speed, economy, and structural integrity,” adds Sittig. “Galen College of Nursing is now a landmark for tilt-up in this region and a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our crews.”
The project will be featured in Tilt-Up Today magazine and was celebrated during the 2025 Tilt-Up Convention & Expo in Nashville on October 1.
