Four Triggers for Job Site Accidents
There are 4 dangerous states of mind that are linked to workplace accidents. People are more likely to make critical errors when they are 1) in a rush, 2) frustrated, 3) overly complacent, or 4) fatigued.
Deadlines lead to pressure to get the job done. Always remember: Safety is always our first priority.
It’s easy to become frustrated when situations are out of our control (weather delays, demanding customers, other subcontractors in our way). We approach these situations with a problem-solving mentality so that we maintain safe, productive and high-quality work for our customers.
Everyone is vulnerable to accidents from rushing, frustration, complacency and fatigue. Get adequate rest, drink water and schedule breaks.
