Mandatory Safety Stand Down
THIS THURSDAY – April 19 at 6am
Here’s what you need to know:
- Meet at the Grand Rapids Shop by 6am. (Click here for a Google map.)
- Attendance is required by the entire team.
Safety is our First Hallmark, and we’re showing our commitment through safety stand down events and on-going training. This event will cover safety updates you need right now, and you’ll get an outlook on April and May training topics. Donuts and coffee are provided. If you have questions about this event, please contact your Human Resources or Safety Team. Kent Companies One Day Hiring Event
THIS SATURDAY – April 21
8am-12pm at the Grand Rapids Office
Here’s what you need to know:
- At the One Day Hiring Event, we want to interview and hire as many qualified field team members as possible.
- We’re making hiring decisions on the spot.
- We’ll give applicants a decision in 30 minutes or less.
- New hires will start work with an orientation on Monday, April 23.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation to job sites and a valid ID to start work.
Here’s how you can help:

Congrats to Jason Stephens, an FMI Superintendent Field Leadership Graduate!
In this six-session course offered by ABC Western Michigan and training partner FMI, field leaders learn skills to improve their management and leadership skills, job productivity, communications skills, and profitability. ABC-Western Michigan recognized their most recent graduating class on Thursday, April 12th. Kudos to Division 410/3410 Superintendent Jason Stephens for successful completion of this course.
